Human Rights

You may be able to look around you where you live and take notice of people that suffer from a large array of harm caused by a civil, constitutional or human rights violation. You or a family member or friend may have been or is currently suffering from such now.

It is a feeling of helplessness to those that suffer such injustice and those that are related to them. If we look at other areas of the world, we see how large the problem really is. Governments are not able to resolve such issues and most of the time they are the cause of it.

Wise King Solomen said it this way in Ecclesiastes 8:9 “All of this I have seen, and I applied my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his harm” meaning injury or detriment. This is where we stand currently.

In this day and age do we not have a responsibility to help others in distress, and to intervene if we can? At Earth Month, we aid those that cannot even help themselves.

One of the most common things going on for centuries is the oppression of religion and those that exercise it freely. Modern day history demonstrated that Hitler oppressed 15 different religions. When a nation proclaims to be free but takes negative action against any given religion, that nation is not free.

The abuse and conditions are terrible. What would you do if it was your spiritual brother or sister, a family member or friend? Would you want to help? Part of our work is in this regard as to the free exercise of religion.
